Ian Haldimann

Principal

Ian Haldimann is a founder and principal of Sage Tree. Prior to starting the company, he was Vice President of Global Sales for Powermate, an Aurora, IL-based manufacturer of generators, air compressors, pressure washers and air tools. He has also held positions as Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of International Business Development. He has a proven record of achieving year-over-year performance in each of his positions.

As an experienced manufacturing executive, Ian understands firsthand the challenges manufacturers face in today's complex marketplace; global manufacturing, intense pricing pressures, increased competition and greater retailer selectivity. A champion for the manufacturer, Ian leverages his breadth of experience to help clients build multi-channel sales organizations for a sustainable competitive advantage.

Ian's experience includes developing and managing programs for mass, club, distributor, dealer, electrical wholesale and hardware channels. He has successfully placed new product lines at Big Box retailers including Lowes, The Home Depot, Costco and Wal-Mart, as well as at other retailers like Target, Pep Boys, Ace, True Value, Canadian Tire and more.

A graduate of the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado, Ian also holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Big City Mountaineers, a Denver-based nonprofit that provides wilderness experiences for urban youths.
